Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Bittersweet Review

PRODUCT REVIEW

Sleek MakeUp is a colour cosmetics brand established in the UK. It was launched in the Philippines last 2015.

PACKAGING:

Sleek Matte Me is a matte finish liquid lipstick. It comes in a transparent high-end looking square-tube with a black cap. The cap is embedded with the brand name Sleek Make Up in an embossed print. The lipstick shade is printed on a black sticker and placed at the bottom of the tube. It is 6ml in volume.

SHADES:

Matte Me is available in 12 shades;

  • Velvet Slipper - muted deep plum

  • Shabby Chic - muted dark pink

  • Fired Up - dark crimson red

  • Bittersweet - pretty coral pink (I currently have this one)

  • Old Hollywood - oxblood red

  • Vino Tinto - intense deep berry

  • Birthday Suit - classic wearable nude

  • Fandango Purple - bright fuchsia purple

  • Petal - pale pastel pink

  • Brink Pink - vivid neon pink

  • Crushed Lavender

  • Rioja Red - true bright red

  • Apricot Blooms

  • Party Pink - sensational coral hue

*I'll update this part once I collected some of the shades that will interest me. I will not buy those that I know I won't use.

Here's the swatch of Bittersweet, please take not that I have an NC20-25 skin tone, and pale lips.

Here are the swatches of the other shades: *Photos grabbed from SleekPH FB page.

TEXTURE: It is light as air texture that provides you with comfortable wear for hours. It doesn't cake, flake or dry out, ensuring long lasting colour all day.

LIFE ON LIPS: Lasts all day, 5-6 hours

FINISH: Matte

OVERALL:

I was actually looking for the Birthday Suit but it was out of stock that moment, so the lady recommended the Bittersweet shade. I love the shade, it is very wearable. I also love the formula, creamy and it dries down to matte but it felt tacky. It doesn't smudge or transfers, a plus point for me. 😉 The packaging is also sleek, appropriate for it's name. It doesn't have any kind of scent. If you are expecting a drugstore price, this product is not one of them. The price is slightly steep (P450.00), not your average drugstore price.

Overall, I'd say that these lippies are must haves! If you have extras on your budget, you should definitely try them out. You can find these lippies at the cosmetics section of the following SM and Landmark Department Stores: SM: Southmall, Mall of Asia (MOA), Manila, Makati, Megamall, Cubao, North Edsa, Fairview and Cebu LANDMARK: Trinoma & Makati

You can also find these goodies on Zalora PH & Lazada PH. Check out their FB page for more details.
