COLOURPOP is a US made brand and it is not yet available locally (I am from Philippines & I work in Singapore) but you can purchase them through their website or online shops (Carousell, Instagram etc). I discovered this lippie thru Saab Magalona's Instagram, the shade (Brink) looks really good on her. This lippie has a matte finish (I love matte finish lippies) so it got me intrigued. I was eyeing for Brink for so many months and I was finally able to purchase it (Yey!). It led me splurging for more shades; Bichette, I Heart This, Bossy & Trixie from the Lippie Stix collection and Lovebug, Bumble & Ouiji from their Ultra Matte collection, thanks to Carousell.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

PACKAGING:

The packaging looks simple and cute. Each Colourpop Lippie Stix comes in a slim, white box. You will find the name of the shade and finish at the bottom of the box. Inside the box, you will find the lippie stix in a white twistable plastic tube. Again, you will find the name and the color of the shade and finish at the bottom of the tube. =)

FINISH:

They have 5 different finishes namely:

  • Matte / Matte X

  • Cream

  • Satin

  • Glossy

  • Hyper glossy

I own Matte and Satin finishes. I don't like glossy finish, I can't take its tackiness on my lips (sorry guys).

SHADE RANGE:

There are currently 64 shades (yup! that's a lot) and I only own 5 of them. I am more into browns, reds, bright pinks or nudes type of lippies, but I also tried pink-purple lippies. I pick out shades that suits my skin type or I sometimes ask my hubby for suggestions (wink). Colourpop has a wide range of colors, nudes, reds, pinks, oranges, neutrals, darks, browns and even some crazy colors (blue & black). You'll definitely find colors you'll like.

APPLICATION & REMOVAL:

These lippies are very easy to apply. They go on smoothly. It is also easy to remove but wearing a darker shade will leave stain/s on your lips.

PROs: 5 🌟

  • Color/Shade: 🌟 Great variety of choices. I got mine in Brink, I Heart This, Bichette, Bossy & Trixie

  • Price: 🌟 Very affordable (P400 - Philippines online shops; S$11 - SG Carousell; $5 - ColourPop website)

  • Finish: 🌟 Great variety of finishes. I have matte & satin.

  • Pigmentation: 🌟 Highly pigmented, intense color

  • LIfe on lips: 🌟 Lasts for 4-5 hours, it also depends on what you eat

  • Moisturizing, creamy

  • No bleeding, no feathering (depends on the shade)

CONs:

  • Scent: Strong waxy scent when applied (but it has a faint vanilla scent)

  • Need to retouch after eating

  • A little bit tacky

  • Not transferproof / kissproof

Will I purchase again? DEFINITELY!

P.S. I will have a separate swatch review for each Colourpop Lippie Stix I've purchased.
